Kevin T. Carter

Kevin T. Carter is the Chairman of the EMQQ Index Committee. Mr. Carter is the Founder of Big Tree Capital an investment manager focused on Emerging & Frontier Markets. Mr. Carter was the Founder & CEO of AlphaShares, an investment firm that offers five Emerging Markets ETFs in partnership with Guggenheim Investments. Previously Mr. Carter was the Founder & CEO of Active Index Advisors acquired by Natixis in 2005 and the Founder & CEO of eInvesting acquired by ETRADE in 2000. Mr. Carter received a degree in Economics from the University of Arizona in 1991 and began his career in 1992 with Robertson Stephens & Company.

Dr. Burton Malkiel

Dr. Malkiel serves as an Advisor to the EMQQ Index Committee. Dr. Malkiel is the Chief Investment Officer of WealthFront and a long time Professor of Economics at Princeton University. He is widely considered one of the pioneers of index investing and ETFs. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Vanguard, Dean of the Yale School of Management and as the Chairman of the Princeton University Economics Department. Dr. Malkiel is also well known for his seminal work A Random Walk Down Wall Street. Dr. Malkiel holds B.A. and MBA from Harvard and a Ph.D. from Princeton University.

Samuel Grenning

Sam Grenning is a Member of the EMQQ Index Committee. Mr. Grenning has considerable experience in indexing and the management of index based ETFs. Previously Mr. Grenning was an ETF Portfolio Manager for Schwab where he led the launch and portfolio management of the firms first ETFs. Prior to joining Schwab Mr. Grenning was an ETF Portfolio Manager with Barclays Global Investors the world’s largest ETF provider. Mr. Grenning was responsible for the daily management of the flagship iShares S&P series ETFs with over $50 billion in assets.

Doug Crowley

Doug Crowley serves as an Advisor to the EMQQ Index Committee. Mr. Crowley has considerable experience investing and operating in Emerging Markets and in ecommerce. He has led Business and Corporate Development for several internet businesses including most recently a Czech based internet security company. He was an Emerging Markets Portfolio Manager for Lehman Brothers and the founder of eScene Neworks an online video company acquired by Inktomi in 2002. He received a BS Finance from Boston College and a MA International Economics from John Hopkins University.

Lin Li

Lin Li serves as an Advisor to the EMQQ Index Committee. Mr. Li is a Portfolio Manager at Holly Futures, a Chinese investment manager, based in Nanjing trading Chinese equities and index derivatives on mainland (Shanghai & Shenzhen) and international markets (Hong Kong and New York). Previously, Mr. Li was as an analyst for AlphaShares, an Emerging Markets investment firm located in San Francisco. He holds Master’s degree in Financial Analysis from University of San Francisco and a BS in Engineering from Chongqing University in China.
